WH080 – Standing Firing Panzer Grenadier

The close relationship between tanks and infantry was central to German combined-arms tactics. While armour provided mobility and heavy firepower, Panzergrenadiers could dismount to clear ground unsuitable or dangerous for tanks to tackle alone.

WH080 – Standing Firing Panzer Grenadier captures one of these infantrymen actively engaging the enemy.

His upright firing stance gives the figure plenty of visual impact and makes an excellent contrast to kneeling troops such as WH081. Together with half-tracks and armour, the figures can form a convincing mechanised assault.
