The desert campaigns of North Africa created particular difficulties for battlefield medicine. Heat, dust and enormous distances complicated the treatment and evacuation of wounded soldiers, making mobile medical transport especially important.

WH094 – The Afrika Korps Kübelwagen Ambulance adapts the familiar German Kübelwagen to a medical role, creating an unusual vehicle for a North African collection.

Placed with medical personnel, wounded troops and Afrika Korps figures, it can form the centre of a casualty evacuation scene well behind the advancing Panzers.
