WS296 – FT-17 Normandy Pillbox

Following the occupation of France, the Germans made extensive use of captured French military equipment, including obsolete tanks that were no longer suitable for front-line armoured operations.

WS296 – FT-17 Normandy Pillbox represents an ingenious reuse of the veteran Renault FT, with its turret incorporated into a fixed defensive position.

Such installations were part of the extensive German fortifications constructed to resist an anticipated Allied invasion of Western Europe. The model makes an excellent addition to an Atlantic Wall or Normandy 1944 scene.
