Waffen SS German Grenadier Advancing with K-98 wearing Kharkov Parka, 1944-45

This figure represents a German infantryman during the closing stages of the war, equipped for bitter winter conditions. The Kharkov parka, named by post-war collectors because of its association with photographs from the Third Battle of Kharkov, featured a fur-lined hood and heavy insulated construction, providing valuable protection against the harsh Eastern Front climate. Although first introduced in 1942–43, these parkas continued to see service through the winter of 1944–45.

Armed with the dependable Karabiner 98k bolt-action rifle, this advancing grenadier captures the determined appearance of German infantry as they fought increasingly desperate defensive actions during the final year of the war. The dynamic sculpt and realistic winter clothing make this figure an excellent addition to late-war Eastern Front or Ardennes displays.

25338 – Waffen-SS German Grenadier Advancing with K98k Wearing Kharkov Parka, 1944–45 pairs perfectly with other Thomas Gunn winter-uniformed German figures, allowing collectors to recreate the difficult fighting and harsh conditions that characterised the final campaigns of the Second World War.
