AE116 - Sam, The Piano Player | King & Country

Inspired by the celebrated 1942 film Casablanca, this character figure portrays Sam, the much-loved piano player and entertainer at Rick's Café Américain.

Played by Dooley Wilson, Sam is both the café's resident musician and a trusted friend of Rick Blaine. His performance of the memorable song As Time Goes By became one of the film's defining moments and remains closely associated with its enduring popularity.

The figure depicts Sam wearing his distinctive gold lamé stage suit, seated at his colourful upright piano as he sings and plays for the café's guests.

The piano adds an attractive display element and helps capture the atmosphere of Rick's famous nightclub during the wartime setting of the film.

Sam can be displayed individually or combined with Rick Blaine and Captain Louis Renault (AE115), together with the Rick's Café Américain backdrop (SP136), to create a more complete Casablanca-themed scene.

Set includes: Sam the Piano Player with his decorated upright piano.
