NM-11 – Norman Knight | John Jenkins Designs
Victory at Hastings did not immediately mean that William controlled England. The Norman Conquest continued after 1066 as William and his followers worked to establish authority across the kingdom.
NM-11 – Norman Knight represents the class of mounted warrior who became central not only to the invasion but also to the new Norman order that followed.
Knights served their lords militarily and could become part of the network through which Norman power was extended and defended. Castles, landholding and mounted military service would all become prominent features of post-Conquest England.
This makes NM-11 equally suitable for a Hastings battlefield or a broader Norman display representing the years that followed.
Available from The Military Workshop – a versatile John Jenkins Designs knight representing both the conquest of England and the warriors who helped secure Norman rule.
