PFL-06B – French Line Infantry 1807, 66th Line, 4th Company – Fusilier Marching #1B
Napoleon’s extraordinary campaigns depended upon infantrymen capable of covering immense distances on foot before forming for battle, sometimes with remarkably little rest. The French fusilier was very much the everyday soldier of the Grande Armée.
PFL-06B – Fusilier Marching #1B depicts a member of the 66th Line Infantry, 4th Company, marching as part of his regiment in 1807. Rather than showing the soldier in combat, the marching pose captures the disciplined movement of French troops on campaign.
Grouped with officers, standard bearers, drummers and other marching fusiliers, PFL-06B can help create an impressive column of French infantry advancing towards its next battlefield.
Available from The Military Workshop – an excellent John Jenkins figure for adding numbers, movement and variety to a Napoleonic French infantry collection.
