RA093 - Red Army Squad Leader | King & Country

This Red Army Squad Leader represents a Soviet non-commissioned officer directing his infantrymen during the final stages of the Second World War.

The figure forms part of the Heritage Classics winter collection, representing Soviet forces operating across the snow-covered battlefields of Eastern Europe during 1944–45.

The squad leader is depicted observing the battlefield through a pair of binoculars while holding his PPSh-41 submachine gun. His pose suggests a careful assessment of the surrounding terrain before directing the next movement of his troops.

The PPSh-41 was a familiar weapon among Soviet infantry throughout the conflict and features prominently among the soldiers represented in this collection.
