The Blackfoot Confederacy became one of the most powerful Indigenous forces of the northern Great Plains, occupying territory extending across what is now southern Alberta and Saskatchewan and into Montana.
WSP-43 – Blackfoot Warrior represents one of the warriors from this formidable Plains culture. The Blackfoot were accomplished hunters and horsemen who fiercely defended their territory and played an important role in the history of the northern plains and the fur trade.
This figure works equally well within a larger Blackfoot group or alongside traders and mountain men, helping illustrate the complex relationships between the different peoples who inhabited and travelled through the region.
